A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete email address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of unsolicited emails, but this problem can be resolved using anti-spam filtering software. It is also vital to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s really easy to work with, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only a single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each email address that you have set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you have already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you don’t want this feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
